A vacation in Venice is dedicated to beauty, art and especially romance. Therefore, when you visit Venice you will not only visit the city and its canals, but you will visit a culture and an artist soul. Artistic soul of Venice can be seen everywhere. First, thanks to all those bridges linking the islands and streets of Venice, true works of art; secondly, all those palaces and religious buildings attesting beautiful; and thirdly, theaters and museums that deserve to be seen in Venice.
Thus, when you arrive in Venice, the first thing you must do is take a map and try to get to Piazza San Marco, the most famous square of the city, a market where culture, art and history form a wealth of monuments and artifacts. Going over and over bridges and narrow streets, you will find a magical atmosphere. In any store you go you will find handmade crafts you’ll want to take home and keep for a lifetime as a reminder of Venice.
Cultural evenings spent at the theater are a real opportunity of relaxation. For example, at Teatro San Gallo you can discover Venice behind the mask, while at La Fenice Theatre you can enjoy a very high quality opera.
You must visit the Bridge of Sighs, built in baroque style in the eighteenth century, linking the new prison from the Doges Palace, where the prisoners were tried, and which is said to still wear sighs of those who crossed for trial. But this bridge is also known for a love legend: those who pass under the bridge at sunset while kissing will be blessed with eternal love.
Other tourist attractions not to miss while in Venice are: St Mark`s Basilica, Venetian Alley Maze, Rialto Bridge, Academia Gallery, Murano Island, Vaporetto, Piazza Ducale, Pallazo Santa Sofia, The Iconic Gondola, Palazzo Pisani Moretta.
