Petra, Jordan
Petra is an ancient city in Jordan, famous for its architecture, that has a water transport system since the beginning of the construction. The construction of the historical city was established around the sixth century BC and is the symbol of Jordan. It is simultaneously one of the most important archaeological sites and is the most visited historic sights.
City whose name means “stone” in Greek is considered one of the most valuable cultural heritage of mankind. Unfortunately, due to erosion, flooding and surface restoration, the stone town is constantly threatened by irreparable damage. In addition, tourism has increased significantly after starting the campaign “The New 7 Wonders of the World”.
