8. Pol Pot
Pol Pot come into eight position among the most bloodthirsty dictators in the world. His regime was inspired by that of Mao Zedong from China. Pol Pot tried to create an agrarian society in Cambodia, reason why he expelled all foreigners from the country and exterminated all cambodgiens living in cities, sending them to villages to forced labor.
During his regime, Pol Pot managed to kill over 2 million people, all part of the educated collectivity. Pol Pot killed mostly doctors, lawyers, businessmen, but also teachers, people which can easily become enemies of the regime, in his oppinion. This bloody dictator was forced to leave Cambodia when the country was invaded by Vietnam and died in 1998 after a heart attack before he could be tried for his crimes by the International Criminal Court in Hague.
