Last summer I was in a stunning vacation. I chose Portugal, a destination that I was dreaming at for a long time. I went with my sister and we spent 5 dream days that gave us exactly what we needed.
In my trips around the world I met all sorts of people, some very friendly (Asians), others a little more distant (Africans), some nationalists (French, Spaniards, Mexicans) other cold and indifferent (I prefer to not give an example), but Portuguese are by far the most friendly and welcoming of all. I liked very much Portuguese people because they made me love their country from the first moment, the first smile and the first “Obrigado” (“thank you” in their language).
Lisbon is the capital bordering the Atlantic Ocean, with beautiful people and interesting architecture. Old buildings are beautifully decorated with drawings, paintings and terracotta. Indeed, Lisbon is a city full of life; walking on the streets, climbing over the hills you will always feel the air of celebration.
Museums, exhibitions, sangria, chic restaurants that attract you with plates of seafood and fish, fado performances, churches full of prayers, the ocean and others attractions that you will se in the pictures, made Lisbon the perfect destination.
What I also liked about is that Portugal is not a country that tries to take the fancy of you. It is a country that let you discover, admire, feel without making efforts. It do not use fireworks to attract. It is exactly as it is. Naturalness people, exotic landscapes, rich cultural and historical objectives make you want to discover increasingly more. Ah, I can not wait to show you all these beautiful places!
P.S.: Have you ever been to Portugal? What impressed you ?
